China's Children International (CCI)
China's Children International is an adoptee organization created for and by fellow adoptees. This group is a great place to find a supportive community of adoptees, especially older adoptees in their adulthood.
Their goal is to create a community for adoptees to find and support each other. This group is particularly different from other groups because a large percentage of adoptees are adults and not children. Another distinguishing characteristic of this group is that they focus on the adoptees and do not allow adoptive parents to have the main focus.
In their Facebook Page and Group, adoptive parents are not allowed to make posts, and they are not allowed to comment unless adoptees specify that adoptive parents are allowed to comment. Therefore, adoptive parents really take a viewing position while adoptees create the main dialogue.
